Saturday, June 29th – 12-5pm
Rumley’s Pet Farm is coming to town on Saturday June 29th when Wilton Shopping Centre Car Park becomes a pet farm for the day. Rumley’s Pet Farm will be there to entertain young audiences with an array of animals including alpacas, a silver fox, ostrich, llamas, cockatoos, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, puppies, donkeys, pigs and goats from 12-5pm.
An open pet farm will be taking over the car park and there
will be a visual display for people to come and look and handle the animals and
have their pictures taken with them. Along with the excitement of meeting the
animals, the event will provide children with a very worthwhile learning experience. Children will get the opportunity to feed and hold animals – both cuddly
and large – animals that children would normally never get close to.
The ethos of the farm is as much about learning as it is fun, so everyone who attends (yes parents included) are guaranteed to have a great day out.
The display consists of various animals both big and small, all which can be handled including rabbits, guinea pigs, puppies, an Umbrella Cockatoo, a donkey, pigs, and goats.
The open pet farm is free on the day to shoppers and any donations will be going to the very deserving charity, the Cork City Hospitals Children’s Club, which Wilton Shopping Centre are proud to have been associated with for a number of years.
Rumley’s Pet Farm carry public liability and have their animals vet checked regularly. Their reps are also trained in the childcare sector and have a qualified special needs assistant on hand for these events.
Susanne Irwin, Manager of Wilton Shopping Centre says “We are so excited to be welcoming Rumley’s Pet Farm to Wilton Shopping Centre. We want to thank all our shoppers for their support with our open Pet Farm on Saturday 29th June. We are really looking forward all the laughter, fun and excitement.”
